Instrumental Panel : Frontal Impact Analysis




The behavior of the Instrumental Panel and Steering Column Structure during a 30 mph frontal crash was simulated using transient, nonlinear FEA methods. The pedal bracket was designed to crush and minimize the load transfer resulting from the engine compartment intrusion into the occupant compartment.

Knee Impact on Knee Bolster:


Various FE crash models are availble at INDUS to simulate the knee impact on the knee bolsters. These models help minimize the sled/barrier tests required to certify the vehicles for FMVSS 208 unbelted test.
